Utah Jazz rookie forward Cody Williams will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season due to mononucleosis, the team announced on Wednesday.

Williams was ruled out of playing on Monday in a 110-106 loss to the Charlotte Hornets due to what the team labeled an illness. He tested positive for the viral infection on Tuesday and will be reevaluated in three weeks before starting offseason conditioning.

The 10th pick started the last nine games for the Jazz before sitting on Monday, averaging four points and 1.7 rebounds. He played 24 minutes per game over that stretch.
