James Borrego made his first move as head coach of the Charlotte Hornets by naming former Suns interim head coach Jay Triano has his top assistant. As per usual, Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news:
Jay Triano has agreed to become the top assistant on James Borrego's new coaching staff with the Charlotte Hornets, league sources tell ESPN.

Triano was named interim head coach of the Toronto Raptors in 2008, becoming the first, and only until this offseason, head coach born outside of the United States to parents also not from the United States.
