Jay Triano, who most recently servered as the interim head coach of the Phoenix Suns, is being considered for a spot on the Charlotte Hornets coaching staff.
First reported by international basketball writer David Pick, the report was confirmed by the Charlotte Observer’s Rick Bonnell this morning:
I confirmed after the lottery last night that new @hornets coach James Borrego is interviewing Jay Triano for his staff. Would be good to have a former head coach there as a resource.https://t.co/oofTLoJWRw

In addition to serving as interim head coach for the Suns, Triano was head coach of the Toronto Raptors for 2008 to 2011, and served as an assistant for the team six years prior to that.
