While the NBA Draft is still weeks away, it appears the Charlotte Hornets have closed in on their pick at No. 2 overall.
Assuming the San Antonio Spurs select Victor Wembanyama, the Hornets are expected to draft Alabama’s Brandon Miller.
“The Ringer’s” Kevin O’Connor reports “all indications suggest the Hornets are leaning toward Miller with this choice as a partner for LaMelo Ball.”
The report comes just days after ESPN’s Jonathan Givony wrote Scoot Henderson of the G League Ignite wouldn’t surpass Miller for the No. 2 overall pick.
“While there is a process that will need to play out over the next month, it was hard to find a single NBA executive at the draft combine who believed that G League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson will eventually rise into the No.
