October 21, 2016 – The Charlotte Hornets today announced that the team will celebrate the opening of the 2016-17 NBA season with the “Hornets Tipoff Tour,” presented by Sprite. Hornets players, Hugo and the Honey Bees will swarm various areas of the Charlotte community on Monday, October 24, to mark the start of the regular season. The Hornets begin play on Wednesday, October 26, when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks. The home opener at Spectrum Center will be Saturday, October 29, at 7 p.m. when the team takes on the Boston Celtics.
