Kemba Walker and Tony Parker each led the way with 24 points as the Hornets defeated the Detroit Pistons 113-103.
The game started with some obscenely bad basketball. The afternoon start time seemed to interfere with nap times, as the teams combined to miss 18 of their first 24 shots. A timeout about halfway through the quarter ignited the offense, and the teams went into the first intermission with the Pistons holding a 27-24 lead.
The Hornets started the second quarter with a quick 8-2 run, prompting a Pistons timeout.
