The first-ever regular season NBA game in France on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 featuring the Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks is going to be much more than just about basketball, at least for the “home” side.
Charlotte Hornets President, Vice Chairman, Alternate Governor and Minority Owner Fred Whitfield spoke at a Monday morning event officially announcing the organization’s partnership with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance. Representatives from both sides will make the journey to Paris with a focus on showcasing the city and developing contacts and relationships with French businesses and fans.
“Our owner (Michael Jordan) has his own global brand (Jordan Brand) that he’s built at Nike,” Whitfield said.
