The Charlotte Hornets got steamrolled by the Golden State Warriors, 137-90. It’s the second worst loss in Hornets history and the worst since they lost to the Bucks 137-87 in January, 2000.
The Hornets started well. They got out to an early 9-5 lead, with seven of those points coming from the increasingly potent Miles Bridges/Dwayne Bacon duo. Believe it or not, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were up to the challenge. They scored the Warriors first 16 points. The Hornets struggled to contain the Warriors both behind the arc and in the paint, resulting in 35 first quarter points for the home team.
