The Hornets player received the most votes of any rookie in the Eastern Conference.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A terrific rookie season for Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller earned him a third-place spot on the NBA's Rookie of the Year list.
Miller was given 83 third-place votes and one second-place vote. A panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters votes for their top three rookies.
Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs unanimously won the Rookie of the Year award. Oklahoma City's Chet Holmgren took 98 second-place votes to secure that spot.
Miller was one of the few bright spots on an otherwise forgettable Hornets team in the 2023-24 season.
