Hornets Fall to Host Magic in Orlando

By Carson Williams, hornets.com

The Result
Despite double-figure scoring games from P.J. Hairston (14 points), Frank Kaminsky (13) and Aaron Harrison (15), the Hornets fell against the undefeated Orlando White team, 81-68, on July 8 in Orlando. The Hornets were missing Troy Daniels due to a strained right shoulder that occurred in Charlotte’s only victory thus far against the Brooklyn Nets. The Hornets struggled against Orlando’s defensive pressure and now sit at 1-3 in the Orlando Summer Pro League.

Turning Points
Kevin Murphy led Charlotte in the first half with 12 points and three rebounds but Frank Kaminsky had a slow start until the eight-minute mark of the third quarter when he went 1-for-2 at the line to get on the scoresheet.
