Hornets crumble in fourth quarter, lose to Wizards 125-118

Miles Bridges scored a career high 31 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Charlotte Hornets from falling apart in the fourth quarter and losing to the Washington Wizards, 125-118.

The Hornets tried something different tonight, electing to play competent basketball at the outset instead of immediately digging themselves into a hole. They even went so far as to build a five point lead in the first four minutes of the game. Miles Bridges broke out of his mini-slump in the first five first quarter minutes. The teams traded baskets all quarter, with a buzzer beater by Moritz Wagner setting the first quarter margin at 34-33 in favor of the Hornets.
