Hornets could trade for Pelicans' $158 million superstar to speed up rebuild

The Charlotte Hornets have been stuck in a rebuild for multiple years. Because of this, they have had very good lottery picks that have helped them build a core for when they are ready to contend once again.

Charlotte has started the new season well. They are 4-6 thanks to LaMelo Ball’s hot start. He is currently averaging 29.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. LaMelo is not the only youngster stepping up for the Hornets. Brandon Miller is the team’s second-leading scorer and has played well despite missing four games with injury.

With a young core of LaMelo, Miller and Miles Bridges, the Hornets seem as though they are ready to take the next step into contention.
