Hornets could exchange ex-Mavericks guard for $132 million former No. 1 pick in major trade

Although this season didn't go as planned for the Charlotte Hornets, they're still not far off from being an NBA playoff team. This offseason will be pivotal for the Hornets to take the next step, and in order to do that, they need to put more pieces around LaMelo Ball.

Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report predicts Charlotte will acquire former No. 1 draft pick and current Portland Trailblazers center Deandre Ayton this offseason. In this proposed deal, the Hornets would send ex-Dallas Mavericks guard Josh Green and center Jusuf Nurkiu0107 to Portland.
