Hornets can add offensive firepower to backcourt this summer in free agency

The Charlotte Hornets could jump on an opportunity to form one of the best scoring backcourts in the NBA this summer.

The Hornets are led by former All-Star LaMelo Ball. Charlotte's franchise player averages a gaudy 27.3 points per game this season. Around him are talented forwards Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges. The former puts up 21 PPG while the latter boasts a customary 19.5 PPG on the campaign. While the Hornets do not lack scorers, their recent activity in the trade market suggests that their rebuilding roster could be subject to further changes.

Thus, Charlotte has inroads to acquire Brooklyn Nets star and upcoming free agent Cam Thomas come season's end.
