January 21, 2016 – The Charlotte Hornets announced today the team has assigned guard Aaron Harrison to the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA Development League, pursuant to the flexible assignment rule.
The 21-year-old rookie has appeared in nine games for Charlotte, averaging 0.8 points and 0.9 rebounds in 4.3 minutes per contest. The Kentucky product went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft and signed with the Hornets on July 14 as a free agent.
The NBA D-League’s flexible assignment system enables the 11 independent NBA teams to assign players to the NBA D-League for development or rehabilitation from injury.
