Gerald Henderson graduates from Duke University

Gerald Henderson graduated from Duke this week after several years of balancing his professional career and, well, hammering out essays. It's surprisingly rare for players to continue with their studies after being drafted, so it's extremely gratifying to see a Hornets player being one of the few that are committed to their eventual careers after basketball.

Henderson was at Duke from 2006 to 2009 and played for the Blue Devils under renowned head coach Mike Krzyzewski, but left early for the NBA. He was 21 years old at the time, and was selected with the 12th overall pick by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2009 NBA Draft.
