Further evaluation reveals Malik Monk’s thumb isn’t fractured

Good news comes is hard to come by these days, so finding out that your fractured thumb isn’t, in fact, fractured is news any of us would take.

And that’s just what Malik Monk found out today after further review revealed no fracture. Monk is now listed day-to-day, which dramatically moves up his recovery time.

There’s no word as to whether he will play again in Summer League, and my bet is on no for precautionary reasons, but Monk should be to fully practicing sooner than later.

The Hornets ended the preliminary rounds of the Las Vegas Summer League with a 100-80 loss to the Boston Celtics.
