The Portland Trail Blazers signed former UConn men's basketball player James Bouknight to an Exhibit-10 contract.
An Exhibit-10 contract does not signify a roster spot, but allows NBA franchises to bring in more players with no guarantee of making the final roster. If Bouknight were to make Portland's final roster, the contract essentially converts to a regular minimum-contract deal.
He joins fellow former Husky Donovan Clingan in Portland. Bouknight is expected to be waived by the Blazers, but the team will retain his rights for a G-League assignment.
Bouknight played for the Huskies from 2019 to 2021.
