1. The Boston Celtics sat a lot of rotation regulars against the Charlotte Hornets. Al Horford, Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart all sat out of the starting group, while Malcolm Brogdon was also given the night off. Mfiondu Kabengele was also off, perhaps cementing his status as a Two-Way player.
Yet, despite the absences, the Celtics still controlled the game by early in the third quarter. Boston is deep with productive players. There are lots of guys who can step in and play a role when others are out. That depth will be important during the regular season, especially after a long playoff run.
