According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, the Charlotte Hornets will pass on Ramon Sessions’ team option for next season. He was set to be owed $6.27 million next year. After only one year back in the Queen City, the veteran point guard’s second stint with the team will already be over. His 2016-17 season was clouded with poor play and injuries.
With the Hornets declining his option, Ramon will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. They waited until the last possible minute to decline his option as Charlotte had a slight hope that maybe a team would trade for the 6’3 point guard.
