Charlotte Hornets: Spencer Hawes Out At Least a Week With MCL Sprain

Spencer Hawes will be sidelined from action for at least a week after an MRI revealed an MCL sprain in his right knee. He will be re-evaluated in a weeks time. Hawes suffered the injury during game five of the Charlotte Hornets’ series against the Miami Heat.

Spencer has played in all five games during the first round for the Hornets. He is averaging 3.6 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game off of the bench for Charlotte. He has played 10.6 minutes per game against the Heat.

Hawes is one of Charlotte’s best shooting big men who can also pass the ball as well.
