Since they both came in the league back in the 1988-1989 season, the Charlotte Hornets (29-34) and Miami Heat (29-34) have built up quite the rivalry. Granted, that rivalry became quite skewed in the Heat’s favor once LeBron James joined them in the 2010-2011 season, resulting in 15 straight wins over the Hornets.
Since then, the season series between the two teams have been split 3 of the past four seasons, with last season seeing Charlotte swept by the Heat. In fact, the last time the Hornets won the season series against Miami was the 2009-2010 season, just before LeBron made took his talents to South Beach.
