Sportando has reported that Sam Thompson will join the Charlotte Hornets fun the NBA Summer League. He was previously signed with the team last offseason and even appeared in five preseason games. He was one of the last cuts before the final roster was submitted.
Thompson played at the Ohio State University during his college career from 2011-2015. He went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft but was signed by Charlotte during training camp. He was brought in to compete for a roster spot with the team. He was eventually cut by the Hornets.
Sam is a 6’7 forward that has spent time in the NBA’s Developmental League with the Grand Rapids Drive and the Philadelphia 87ers.
