Charlotte Hornets beat writer, Rick Bonnell, of the Charlotte Observer has tweeted that in a first draft of the league schedule for games next season that the Charlotte Hornets would open up against the Miami Heat in Miami, followed by a home-and-home against the Atlanta Hawks.
Bonnell also stated that this could be subject to change when the final schedule is released tonight.
If the Hornets do in fact open up against the Miami Heat, then it would be a great way to start off the year for Charlotte. It would be a test to see how good Charlotte is at the beginning of the season against a veteran team like the Heat which many expect to make the playoffs in the East this year.
