Gerald Henderson and Cody Zeller will be travelling with Basketball Without Borders to Gran Canaria, Spain to promote the game of basketball and help 50 different athletes learn what it takes to make it to the NBA. This is another great opportunity for the Charlotte Hornets to expand their brand in the international market, with Charlotte already going to China in the preseason.
Zeller is being chosen for the second straight year, so he obviously had fun and was a positive participant. Henderson, meanwhile, told NBA.com that he is excited for the opportunity:
In the same article, Zeller said he was honored to participate again:
Spain is a hotbed of basketball in Europe, and having two Charlotte Hornets players in the country showing some of the continent’s best young talent how to succeed can only have positive consequences for the franchise.
