According to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com, “Perry Ellis really standing out in 2nd day of @nbadleague Elite Mini-Camp. Shooting ball extremely well. 25 points (4/6 3P) in first game.” Ellis was one of three players from the Charlotte Hornets‘ D-League affiliate with Cat Barber and Rasheed Sulaimon also participating. The Greensboro Swarm were well represented at the camp.
The Chicago-based camp had 40 of the best D-League players take part in multiple drills and scrimmages so that NBA scouts could get a look at these prospects before the NBA Draft Combine is held.
