On Tuesday, the Charlotte Hornets found out that their former #2 pick overall pick had successful surgery to correct a nagging groin strain. This injury was one that has been bothering Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for awhile.
With the surgery going well, Kidd-Gilchrist is expected to make a full recovery, and he should be ready for next season. Kidd-Gilchrist is entering the eighth season of his career; this is a contract year for him.
Last season, Kidd-Gilchrist averaged a career low with 6.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game for Charlotte. The main reason behind this decline was his chronic groin injury that he was dealing with.
