According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, “The Brooklyn Nets are signing guard Archie Goodwin to a 10-day contract from D-League Greensboro.” The combo guard is being signed from the Charlotte Hornets‘ D-League affiliate in the Greensboro Swarm. He is officially the 40th D-League call-up of the 2016-17 NBA season.
Earlier this season, Greensboro acquired the D-League rights to Goodwin by claiming him off waivers. The former first round pick was given a second chance with the Swarm after he was released from the Phoenix Suns. His play with Greensboro was enough to impress the Nets as he will now get another shot in the NBA to prove himself.
