While the Charlotte Hornets may not be making any moves as of late, the Greensboro Swarm certainly are. Charlotte’s G-League affiliate announced yesterday that they have acquired Malik Pope, who played his college basketball at San Diego State.
With Pope joining the Swarm, the team had to waive someone. That someone was former UNLV forward Roscoe Smith, who averaged 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Swarm this season.
If you are unfamiliar with Pope and his game, he’s a lengthy forward who went undrafted in 2018. He suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers in Summer League before eventually starting his professional career in Greece.
