The 53-point margin was the largest Trail Blazers win since their 1982 home game against Cleveland, AP reports.
Anfernee Simons' five 3-pointers and 25 points contributed to the Portland team's vast lead over the Hornets on Saturday.
Miles Bridges led the Hornets with 17 points, followed by Nick Smith Jr. with 14 points. Jusuf Nurkic had 11 points and eight rebounds. Nurick also added five assists.
