The Charlotte Hornets removed a long time scout today, continuing their trend of making changes to the front office in the offseason.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Hornets are currently condensing their front office and have let go one of their scouts, Scott Howard, as a result.

The removal of Howard isn't the major headline here. Even if he was a well regarded scout, turnover in that area is expected.
