Charlotte Hornets’ Big Man, Al Jefferson, to Undergo Surgery for Torn Meniscus

The official Twitter page of the Charlotte Hornets PR has announced that star big man, Al Jefferson, tore his right lateral meniscus and will need arthroscopic knee surgery. He will be out approximately six weeks after an MRI confirmed the tear.

This is a crushing blow to a team that has been decimated by injuries before the season started by losing Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for the year. This is yet another injury that will hurt the team for a number of weeks as Big Al could miss as much as six weeks due to the injury.
