In the previous two losses against the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, the Charlotte Hornets have allowed a combined number of 254 points between the two games. The Hornets should not be allowing teams to score over one-hundred and twenty points against them in consecutive nights.
While the Lakers clearly blew the Hornets out on Saturday night, Friday’s loss to the New York Knicks was inexcusable. In their loss to the Knicks, Charlotte had been up by as many as twenty-one points before blowing the lead.
In the two consecutive losses, the Hornets allowed the Knicks to get fifty paint points, while also allowing the Lakers to get sixty-six points in the paint.
