Going into the 2019-20 season, PJ Washington‘s role with the Charlotte Hornets is unclear. He’s the third-string power forward, but it has become clear that Head Coach James Borrego hopes to get him some significant playing time as a rookie.
In an interview with Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer, Borrego went a little bit more into detail about Washington’s role with the team:
We need PJ to play some valuable, heavy minutes this season. That could be in Charlotte, that could be in Greensboro. PJ will dictate that in how we start the season.
