New York (AFP) - The NBA's Boston Celtics will play a pre-season game next October at Olimpia Milano in a showdown of two of the most successful US or European basketball clubs.
The October 6 meeting at Milan's Mediolanum Forum, part of the NBA Global Games Europe series, will send the 17-time NBA champion Celtics against a Milan squad that owns three Euroleague crowns and 26 Italian league titles.
"We are thrilled to bring one of the NBA's most storied franchises to Milan to compete against Olimpia Milano on their home court," NBA commissioner Adam Silver said.
