Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday was award the 2025 Red Auerbach Award Friday night prior to the team's home game against the Charlotte Hornets. The award is named after longtime Celtics coach and and executive Red Auerbach, who was with the franchise from 1950 until 2006.
According to the team, the annual honor is given to the player or coach in the organization who best exemplifies the standards of being a Celtic. Derrick White won the award last season, and Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have also earned the yearly title. This is the first time Holiday has been awarded this honor since joining the team by way of trade in the fall of 2023.
