In their final game before the NBA All-Star break, the Magic could have easily looked ahead to a quick vacation when facing a 13-win Charlotte squad on Wednesday night.
Instead, the Magic shook off a poor first half and pieced together a 33-19 third quarter to take control of the game, capturing a 102-86 victory against the Hornets at Kia Center.
Both teams were in need of a win with the Hornets losing 10 of their last 12 and the Magic nine of their last dozen.
Charlotte actually led by 2 points at halftime.
