After the Los Angeles Lakers' attempted trade for Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams was rescinded, the Lakers got an up-close-and-personal look at him when they faced the Hornets on Wednesday. He scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 29 minutes as the vastly inferior Hornets handed them a stunning 100-97 loss.
The trade was rescinded because Williams failed his physical, which reportedly revealed multiple issues. Jeff Schwartz, Williams' agent at Excel Sports Management, issued a statement that outlines why he disagrees with the Lakers' assessment of Williams' physical.

"The overwhelming sentiment, after conferring with multiple, nationally recognized doctors, is that the Los Angeles Lakers should not have failed Mark Williams on his physical," Schwartz said in the statement.
