NEW YORK -- The Brooklyn Nets (22-42) had one of their worst losses of the season on Saturday at the Charlotte Hornets when they lost 105-102 due to the Hornets finishing the game on a 22-5 run. In Monday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers (40-23), Brooklyn did not build up a huge lead, but they did find a way to remain in the game long enough for them to come through with some clutch plays in the end.
The Nets beat the Lakers 111-108 in a game in which Los Angeles was missing one of its best players in LeBron James, but still had Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves available to make things interesting.
