3 biggest takeaways for Sixers following escape win over Hornets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Philadelphia 76ers escaped with a 110-104 win over the Charlotte Hornets on the road on Tuesday after seeing a 19-point lead turn into a 1-point deficit down the stretch. The Sixers escaped thanks to the heroics of Tyrese Maxey, but it was a closer win than it should have been.

Paul George had 29 points and eight assists to lead the way for Philadelphia, Maxey had 21 and seven assists, Jared McCain had 17 off the bench, and Kelly Oubre Jr. had 14 points. Guerschon Yabusele added seven and a career-high 12 rebounds on the night.
