Going into the 2018 NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets were in dire need of some explosive potential on the wing. Enter Miles Bridges, hopefully the solution to that need.
Bridges wowed in the Summer League even while struggling with his outside shot at times. Despite the obvious potential, the Hornets entered training camp with no clear rotation spot for the Michigan State product. Nicolas Batum’s shift to small forward created a glut of experience at the position, possibly leaving the rookie on the outside looking in.
However, Bridges has impressed the coaching staff with his rapid development, and it’s looking less and less likely that he won’t find consistent minutes early in his career.
