Charlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will undergo shoulder surgery that could cause him to miss the entire season, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Kidd-Gilchrist separated his shoulder in Saturday's preseason victory over the Orlando Magic. He signed a four-year, $52 million contract with the Hornets this offseason.
The 22-year-old averaged 10.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 55 games for Charlotte last season, his third in the league.
