The Charlotte Hornets held serve at home, using a massive second quarter run to grab a 89-85 win over the Heat, sending the series back to Miami tied 2-2.
Miami came out of the gates on fire, opening the game on a 22-11 run, but they wouldn't hold the lead for long. Charlotte caught fire in the second quarter, reeling off a massive 36-8 extending to early in the third to build a commanding 57-39 lead.
Just when it looked like the Hornets were going to run away with it, they went cold as Miami turned it on. The Heat cut the lead to one with a 20-3 run of their own, but they weren't able to get over the hump. Charlotte has able to build the lead back to as many as eight and then held on for the victory.
The Hornets were led by a playoff career-high 34 points from Kemba Walker, while Jeremy Lin came off the bench to contribute as massive 21 points as well.
Joe Johnson led Miami with 16 big points. Luol Deng also chipped in 15.
Game 5 of the series will be on Wednesday at 8:00 pm ET on TNT.
