In today's trending Hornets news, Al Jefferson is now the answer to this next trivia question - who is the only Charlotte Bobcats player to ever be named to an All-NBA team?
With the Bobcats now officially the Charlotte Hornets, Jefferson will remain the only player during the Bobcats-era of the franchise to be awarded said honor after being named to the NBA's All-NBA Third Team on Wednesday.
Jefferson defected the focus himself, taking the opportunity to talk about the future of the Hornets.
"When we stay on the same page and do things right at the defensive end, we can be a great team," Jefferson said, via Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer. "We lost a lot of games last year I think we should have won."
One way Jefferson is looking to help the team is by acting as an ambassador for the club - especially when it comes to potential free agent signings.
"I had guys last year come to me and say they could see themselves (signing) here," Jefferson stated.
"I have guys calling me about how the coach is, (looking to) confirm how great coach Clifford is."
It took a decade in the league for Jefferson to be named to an All-NBA team. He hasn't been named to an NBA All-Star team as of yet.
That could very well change in 2014-15.
