Charlotte Hornets guard PJ Hairston become an Internet sensation on Wednesday night when his dramatic against the San Antonio Spurs went semi-viral. The NBA, however, didn’t find his acting job all too amusing.
Per Todd Dybas of the Washington Times, Hairston was hit with a $5,000 fine by the NBA's offices under the league’s anti-flopping policy:
P.J. Hairston fined $5,000 for the flop to end all flops.

The flop took place in the fourth quarter of the Spurs’ 98-93, with Hairston flying to the ground after minimal contact with Spurs guard Tony Parker. According to the Charlotte Hornets' Public Relations Twitter account, this is Hairston’s second violation of the league’s anti-flopping rules in 2014-15:
