Kemba Walker has turned on the jets during the Charlotte Hornets' current four-game winning streak, averaging 30.8 points, 5.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game as Charlotte continues to pull itself back to the fringes of playoff contention.
“It's been like an emotional roller coaster, actually,” Walker said of the team's less-than-stellar start to the 2014-15 campaign, via James Herbert of CBS Sports. “Some disappointment, as well. We had very high expectations but it didn't go as we planned, as we wish it would have. But that happens in sports. We're still trying to build here, we're still trying to get better. And the injuries haven't helped that much as well. But each team is different. Some teams get things going faster than others. For us, things had been a little bit slow, but it takes time and it's still taking time. I think we'll definitely get it right at some point.”

The Hornets sure are getting it right over the past week or so, and now just sit two games behind the Miami Heat for the East's eighth and final playoff spot. A lot of that is thanks to the multi-faceted star role Walker has played over these last four wins.
"Being out there on the court with him, you realize what an exceptional athlete he is,” Hornets swingman Gerald Henderson said. “To be his size and do some of the things he does — his quickness, his agility, some of the plays that he makes — it's really amazing. I get to see it every night. That's something very special about him."
