The Charlotte Hornets have plenty of options to consider with the #9 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, but this next group of guys should undoubtedly be on the top of their wishlist when the festivities kick off on June 25th. Here's 3 Players The Charlotte Hornets Should Target In The 2015 NBA Draft.
SF Stanley Johnson - Arizona
Johnson is a extremely versatile wing who does equal damage on both sides of the court. His 83 1/2 inch wingspan allows him to disrupt opposing scoring threats from a litany of angles, and his speed/power combination allows him to create space on spot up triples and floaters down the lane. That kind of all-around talent is something the Hornets would do well to consider as we get closer to draft day.
SF Sam Dekker - Wisconsin
Dekker has an NBA-ready frame combining great size with all the physical tools an NBA wing needs to survive and more. He's versatile enough to slot into several different roles in a rotation and his fundamentals ensure that he'll be efficient doing so. The Hornets are in the market for a three with range as a shooter and explosiveness as a driver. With that in mind, Dekker could very well be their man.
C Willie Cauley-Stein - Kentucky
Depends on how sold management is on Bismack Biyombo (which is likely to be not much), the Hornets could look to Cauley-Stein as a potential defensive stalwart for them in the restricted area. His offensive game is a work in progress and his range and touch as a shooter are questionable, but there's no big in the top half of this draft who uses his size better under the rim than Cauley-Stein.
