CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte women's soccer team will travel to Boca Raton, Florida, for a 1 p.m. Sunday meeting with Florida Atlantic. It marks the only match of the weekend for the 49ers.
Despite Hurricane Matthew recently passing near Florida, the game is still on as scheduled.
Charlotte enters the weekend after knocking off UTSA 3-2 in double overtime Sunday afternoon at Transamerica Field. Junior Martha Thomas netted the game winner, her first of the campaign, to cap a four-goal weekend.
Thomas was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week and as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
