CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The seventh season of the Cara Consuegra era will get underway Monday afternoon for the Charlotte women's basketball program, as the 49ers officially open practice in preparation for the 2017-18 campaign.
Consuegra, the second-winningest coach in school history with 112 victories on her resume, welcomes back two starters and seven letterwinners into the fold after a 21-10 season, including a 12-6 mark in Conference USA. Six newcomers join the mix, four of whom will be eligible to play this year, helping to create added depth.
Charlotte's roster features three seniors, all of whom used different paths to reach their final collegiate season.
