CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball will embark on its first overseas preseason trip of the Cara Consuegra era when the 49ers head to Spain in August. The Niners will make stops in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona during the 10-day trip as they prepare for the 2018-19 campaign.
All players on the roster, including the incoming class who will be on campus starting with the second summer semester, along with coaches and support staff personnel will make the trip.
A full itinerary will not be released publicly for privacy concerns but Charlotte will play three exhibition games against Spanish teams as well as visiting some of the most historic sites and immersing itself into the culture while on the trip.
